Leather Care

Leather has many advantages over fabric and alternative coverings and due to the modern technology in leather production leather should last four to five times longer.

Three Leather Types

Finished: Pigmented top coat, easy care economical leather for high use situations.

Semi-Aniline: A light pigment top coat with aniline seal.

Aniline: No pigment top coat with aniline seal, top quality that needs special care.

General Leather Care Rules for All Leather Types:

Do not clean with common household cleaners as these can seriously damage your leather and never use saddle soaps, abrasives, furniture polish, varnish, or ammonia.
For general cleaning which should be done weekly a good practice would be to vacuum (without brush type head) your item when you do the floor, use a brush attachment to remove dust, hairs and crumbs, then use a lukewarm damp colour fast cloth.

If you have a garment with a stain - see a quality dry cleaner.
